SEPT 6, 2021: Current situation in France and entry requirements

With Global Spine Congress (GSC) 2021 right around the corner, we want to share important travel-related information to enter France. As changes are frequent during COVID, we want to ensure that we present you with regular updates to keep you well informed. We thank all our participants who continue to register for our event, and we look forward to welcoming you in-person in Paris in a safe environment!

We want to reassure you that GSC fully complies with all measures taken by the health authorities and the local government to ensure the health and safety of all parties involved.

What does this mean for you as a participant travelling to GSC in Paris?

France has introduced a health pass which is required for entry to cafes, restaurants, shopping centers, leisure and cultural venues with 50 or more persons, and for long distance travel (air, train, bus). For more information about the health pass, please visit the official French government website.

Note about the health pass:

  • The health pass will have a QR code which will be scanned as you enter the venue.
  • The health pass is issued only to European Union citizens, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland. For all other participants, you will need to show your official document from your home country.

Can I enter France?

If you are vaccinated, you can travel to France with no restrictions linked to health conditions. For more information and documents required, click here.

If you are not vaccinated, there are different requirements whether you are entering France from a Green, Orange or Red country. For a full list of countries, requirements and travel documents, click here.
